Castor Oil Packs

As made famous by Edgar Cayce, castor oil packs are primarily used for detoxification, injury, inflammation, improved lymphatic and circulatory movement.  Typically placed over the liver on the right side of the rib cage and abdomen, the “pack” is made from using cotton/ flannel fabric soaked in castor oil and warmed with a heating pad.  During the treatment you will receive soothing foot reflexology to further enhance the benefits.  The pack is yours to keep following the session and is good for up to one year for reuse.  Written instructions for use included.

Origins:

Created by Edgar Cayce, 1877-1945. Widely documented and known as the sleeping prophet and father of holistic medicine. Founder of the Association for Research and Enlightenment and the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage Therapy. Castor Oil Packs were often recommended in the Cayce readings.

His abilities manifested early in his childhood and he was widely studied during his lifetime. Hundreds of books have been written about him or subjects associated with his readings. He had the ability to memorize books by sleeping on them. He later discovered he could enter into a sleeping/hypnotic-like state and could intuitively answer questions on a variety of subjects. He was not aware of what was said during the readings and had a secretary transcribe everything. People come from all over the world come to visit and study at the ARE in Virginia Beach. It houses one of the largest metaphysical libraries in the world. 14,306 readings are housed there on over 10,000 subjects.
